The idea is simple: turn familiar faces into the stars of
an intimate desk-side performance. The fun is seeing
someone you know suddenly looking right at home behind the
mic.
Your face. A Tiny Desk–style stage.
Bring that playful concert energy to a personal AI video,
with a lead singer and friends in the band.
Include the head, shoulders, and waist when possible.
Headshots are welcome too; a visible face is all you
need.
✓
Face the camera in even light
A sharp, front-facing photo gives the AI more detail
to work with.
✓
Keep your face uncovered
Avoid sunglasses, heavy filters, stickers, and
anything hiding your features.
Tiny Desk AI video FAQs
Can I start with just one photo?
Yes. Replace any one of the five performers with a photo
showing a face. A waist-up portrait is recommended, but
a headshot also works. Review the selected template in
the editor.
Can I add friends as other band members?
Add a separate photo for each available band member.
Empty optional slots keep the original performers. Left
and right refer to their positions as you look at the
video. Only use photos you have permission to use.
What format should I use?
The reference performance is vertical, in a 9:16 frame.
Select a supported vertical format in the video editor
and check the export settings for your chosen template.
Is it free to try?
You can choose your photos and open the video editor
without generating a video. Review the credit cost shown
in the editor before you generate.
Does it include the “Outstanding” song?
The reference clip has sound. Tap the speaker button to
listen. The reference soundtrack does not guarantee the
same music in generated videos; check the audio options
in the editor.
How long does generation take?
Generation time depends on the model, settings, and
queue. You can follow your video’s progress in the
editor.
How are my photos used?
Your photos are checked and cropped to upper-body
portraits in your browser, then carried into the editor
as reference images. Review Picsman’s privacy policy for
information about uploads and storage.
